Mad Ants Give Raptors Bruno Caboclo A Few Minutes

There’s a tendency to blame the back-to-back games for the Toronto Raptors Bruno Caboclo seeing the floor with the Mad Ants, but at this point even 10.5 minutes of playing time in a blowout is welcome.

The Fort Wayne Mad Ants easily took care of the Knicks D-League team at the Westchester County Center in White Plains New York 109-87 on Friday night, Caboclo getting on the court for the final five minutes of the second and fourth quarters with the Mad Ants enjoying significant leads.

Caboclo didn’t disappoint. In the first half he blocked Thanasis Antetokoupnmpo (older brother of the Bucks Giannis, ‘The Greek Freak’) and grabbed the board. Caboclo shot 1-3, hitting a three-pointer with about 30 seconds left in the half. During garbage time at the end of the game, he finished off a driving layup and nailed another three-pointer for 5 points and added 2 more rebounds. At least he got to play a bit in this game.

Canadian Jordan Bachynski played backup center for the Knicks, and in just 14.9 minutes, he led his team in scoring. Bachynski shot 7-9 from the field for 15 points, grabbed 8 boards and blocked 2 shots. He has played in 3 games for the Westchester Knicks this season.

The 7’2 Bachynski was one of the players the Raptors brought in for workouts this past summer.
