The Atlanta Hawks visit Toronto to open the Raptors 20th NBA season on Wednesday night. The Hawks owing the longest consecutive streak in the postseason among Eastern Conference teams at 7 years and the Atlantic Division winning Raptors hoping to build on last season’s unexpected success.

Atlanta: Jeff Teague, Kyle Korver, DeMarre Carroll, Paul Millsap, Al Horford

Toronto: Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan, Terrence Ross, Amir Johnson, Jonas Valanciunas

Injuries

Atlanta: Al Horford, expected to play after only 2 preseason games may not be back to his usual All-Star form yet.

Toronto: none

Last season

Atlanta: 38-44, but played at a 45-win pace with Horford in the lineup.

Toronto: 48-34, but played at a 54-win pace post Rudy Gay trade.

Preseason

Atlanta: 4-3, 101.1 ppg for, 99 ppg given up

Toronto: 7-1, 97.3 ppg for, 92 ppg given up

Notes

Both teams returning all five starters from last year.

Lou Williams was traded by the Hawks to the Raptors this summer and will be a key player off the bench for Toronto.

Raptors Head coach Dwane Casey is now the longest serving head coach in the Atlantic Division.
